The new “Studente della Toscana” (Student of Tuscany) card has been created for all students enrolled at a university in Tuscany. The card enables students to access the services offered in the regional territory by the University of Florence, the University of Pisa, the University of Siena, the University for Foreigners of Siena and the regional company for the right to study (DSU), regardless of the university they belong to.
The single card, which is part of Giovanisì’s actions – the Tuscany Region’s project for the autonomy of young people – replaces all other existing cards and incorporates the function of electronic purse for the payment of certain services (DSU canteens, photocopying and printing services at the universities).
Students can use the single card to access the services of the regional company for the right to study, such as access to canteens, and soon access to residences for students assigned a place. It is also possible to access university services: access to university libraries and related services (loans, printing, photocopies) throughout the region of Tuscany; access to the collections, museums and villas of the universities’ museum systems.
The card also allows students to use other services or conventions (existing and future) backed by the Tuscany Region, such as cultural activities: prose, ballet and concert theatres, museums, cinemas, archaeological sites and monumental complexes, libraries, media libraries and documentary networks throughout Tuscany.
